Landfill Tax Steering Group

Following numerous discussions with members of the BAA, it has become apparent that there are significant disparities with operating companies relating to the Environment Agency as well as HMRC interpretation to materials, processes and Landfill Tax in Quarries.

Given the Government agenda of Sustainability, Net Zero, Carbon Reduction and the Circular Economy, we as a significant sector and major part of the construction supply chain will no longer be able to operate in the responsible way in which we currently do.

We believe that creating a collaborative approach with government bodies is necessary to avoid prohibitive ways of working.

Going forward, we would invite our interested members to contact the BAA using the link below,  and we will co-ordinate a steering group to develop things further.
