Safe Load -Safe Road
The British Aggregates Association Is pleased to launch it’s very own Safe Load – Safe Road industry wide campaign to raise awareness to drive change and attitudes within the industry to load safety. The campaign aimed primarily at children up to junior school level, allowing children to help us raise awareness when it comes to load security and road safety.
As the police and enforcement agencies have specifically targeted their campaign at drivers, hauliers and companies that operate vehicles, the BAA would like to amplify this further to raise awareness.
Recalling the tragic circumstances suffered by the Oscroft family, their grandson was able to draw a picture of the tipper truck and had remembered the colours of the truck.
Let's Get Our Schools Involved
We want you to encourage your children, grandchildren nieces and nephews to take part and win some amazing prizes for themselves and their school.
The campaign has three elements: and three prize levels for the winning student & school
A handwritten short story/ poem competition
A Safety Poster Design Competition
A colouring competition.
Handwriting Competition
Handwriting Competition – 1st Prize a Laptop & £500 cash prize for school equipment.
The aim is to encourage children to pick up a pen or pencil and show off the handwriting.
We would like a short story or a poem beautifully written by hand on the subject or road safety.
The winning entry will win the prize however the best entries will be collated and a book will be put together with the all of the stories and poems that have been submitted.
Design A Poster Competition
Poster Competition – 1st Prize an iPad & £500 cash prize for school equipment.
Design a road safety poster along the lines of the example opposite, the poster can be as large as you like and can be coloured, painted a collage or whatever creative means you like .
The winning poster will be printed into a full size version and distributed to our membership across the country .
Colouring Competition
1st Prize an iPad Mini & £500 cash prize for school equipment.
Reach for the crayons, felt tip pens or paint and colour or decorate the vehicles that we use every day within our industry. You can use the printable downloads below or you can draw your own vehicles.
